Ace Broadcaster and President of Sports Writers Association of Ghana, Kwabena Yeboah has disclosed that he will be hugely disappointed if Wa All Stars fails to clinch the Ghana Premier League title.

The Wa based club host Aduana Stars in the match day 29 fixture of the Ghana Premier League which will be the title decider in this year’s Premier League at the Malik Jabir Stadium in Wa.

Both clubs have 48 points with goal difference separating both sides. Aduana Stars occupying the 1st position whiles Wa All Stars are at the second position.

Wa All Stars have been very impressive at their home grounds this season but Aduana Stars are going into this match with a huge boost after beating Techiman City by 4:1 with their dangerous striker Yaya Mohammed hoping find the back of the net to increase his goal tally but the ace broadcaster says he will be hugely surprise if the Wa based club fails to lift the trophy.

Speaking to Asempa Sports, Kwabena Yeboah said, “I have personally being impressed with Wa All Stars. I had the privilege to watch them and I personally think they are the best side in the country now.

“I watch them against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium and they were absolutely brilliant. I am not surprise they are on the verge of winning the league. I will be extremely surprise if they do not win the win league title because I personally think it’s a done deal for Wa All Stars and I don’t think any team can stand them.

“Aduana Stars have not done badly, Kotoko had every opportunity to win the league but they unfortunately dropped points to New Edubiase, Bechem United, Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea and when you drop points on your home turf then you are crashing your chances of winning the league.

He continued, “Wa All Stars have been very strong at home and it will be very difficult to recognize the team that was able to beat Wa All Stars at their home grounds so they are very strong at home and even away from home, they have been able to win some of their away matches so I think Wa All Stars are going to win the league and again if you contextualize our league, you have seen Berekum Chelsea winning the league, Adunana Stars winning the league title so it will not come as a major surprise if Wa All Stars win the league.

“I don’t know if I should conclude that it is good for football because the duopoly of Hearts of Oak and Kotoko have been shuttered completely and to large extend, it makes the league more exciting, unpredictable and I think it is that element of unpredictability that makes football exciting.

“I think it good for our football that Wa All Stars will win the league and let hope and pray that the other teams are going to take inspiration from these unfashionable teams winning the league and I know they will put also put in greater effort in winning the league." he added.
