Ghana international, Kwadwo Asamoah has revealed his readiness as Inter Milan prepare to play US Sassuolo on Sunday in the Italian Serie A.

The 29-year-old who joined the 2010 UEFA Champions League winners in the summer from Juventus on a three-year deal is back at training and looks poised for the season opener against Kevin Prince Boateng and Alfred Duncan's Sassuolo this weekend.

Asamoah has established himself in Luciano Spalleti's squad, exerting his influence and showcasing his unique talent in pre-season.

The former Udinese Calcio star impressed during the preseason with the Nerazzurri, showing immense work ethics and becoming a staple of the Inter side ahead of the new campaign and expected to play a key role in the Inter team this season, with the club's return to the Champions League for the first time in six years.

The skilful midfielder has been played in a more advanced role in preseason and he is expected to line up in that position this season.
