Lawyer Duku calls for massive support against Ashantigold

Kotoko clash with Ashantigold at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday with the aim to silence them, and Director of Communications, Lawyer Sarfo Duku, believes victory will come if the club’s supporters show up in their numbers.

Kotoko go into the 2nd-leg of the Golden Clash with a slim 3-2 lead, and Lawyer Duku is calling on the fans to 'flood the stadium' and aid the side to victory.

“Ashgold are talking a lot, and so we need to silence them”, said Lawyer Duku. “The Len Clay stadium is quite an intimidating ground, and so our supporters must not just flood the stadium, but also be heard in full voice behind the players.”

“We can and will beat them; that is not in doubt. But, the players would be very motivated seeing the supporters in their numbers and also loud. That way, the victory would come a bit easier."

Yacouba Songne twice cancelled out Ashantigold’s lead before Wahab Adams gave Kotoko the winner, and Lawyer Duku believes it is neither beyond the Porcupines to score nor win at the Len Clay Stadium.

“We have beaten Ashantigold in Obuasi a lot of times at Obuasi so it is not beyond us to beat them there again on Sunday. All we ask for is that our fans show up and also in full voice. They can’t frighten us, not in Obuasi."
