Legend Stephen Oduro to Captain Kotoko against World XI in Vodafone Unity Match.

Interim Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Michael Osei has confirmed that Kotoko Legend Stephen Oduro will lead the Porcupine Warriors against the World XI in Kumasi.

The game aimed at promoting peace and unity before, during and after the November 2016 elections will take place on June 8 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with the 2nd leg slated for the Accra Sports Stadium on June 11.

Speaking in an interview with Kumas based FM station ASHH FM, Coach Michael Osei revealed that ace Stephen Oduro will lead his side on the day.

"Stephen Oduro will captain Kotoko against world XI on 8th June at the Baba Yara Stadium" he said.

The game which was put together by Primeval Media will see a star studded team take on Kotoko on June 8 before heading for Accra to face the Black stars.

World stars who have confirmed their participation in the game include former European Stars like Dwight Yorke, Louis Saha, ex England international Sol Campbell, Emile Heskey, Jermain Defoe and greats Patrick Kluivert, George Boateng, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Edgar Davids.

Other International players from Africa to take to the field include Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Laryea Kingston as well as Nigerian International Yakubu Aiyegbeni, and former Arsenal stars Emmanuel Eboue, Alex Song and Emmanuel Adebayor.
