Head Coach of Liberty Professionals Michael Osei has given thumbs up to his players after their gigantic escape from relegation on the final day following the victory over Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Liberty Professionals were on the brink of being relegated after going down by a goal in the first half before two second half goals from Captain Samuel Sarfo and Bernard Arthur secured their stay in the topflight.
An excited Michael Osei, who was up against his former side congratulated the players for the mark and credit his side for their tactical superiority.
“I want to congratulate my guys because they have done a very good job, they were very disciplined and determined to stay in the league as I also wanted, so am very delighted we survived."
“Liberty Professionals is smaller club compared to Kotoko, but Kotoko is one of the biggest team, you always have to develop players rather than to buy them, but the boys were good listeners of my tactical instructions, ” Osei said in an interview.
Liberty Professional finished the season 11th just two points from the drop. The club has battled with relegation in the last three season and will breathe a sigh of relief after another great escape.
