Head Coach of Liberty Professional Michael Osei says the Ghana Premier League should be put on hold until Kumasi Asante Kotoko recovers from the trauma of the accident they suffered.
The former Kotoko coach is worried by the growing number of outstanding games for the porcupine Warriors at the crucial stage of the league after their match day 24 game against WAFA was postponed.
Kotoko have two outstanding games now, with their game against Accra Hearts of Oak also postponed and according Michael Osei, his former Club won’t be ready to play any games soon.
“I think it will be good for us to break the League, we have to wait for Kotoko to recover from that incident,” he told Atinka FM.
“It wouldn’t be fair for us to be playing games at this time, already they have an outstanding game and this weekend they are not going to play, it is likely they will not play their next game as well.”
Meanwhile, some players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have returned to training are are being led by youth team coach Ernest Appau with the rest expected to join later.
Coach Steve Poillack was also discharged from Komfo Anokye teaching hospital on Thursday.
Liberty Professionals however, will be in action against Ashantigold in a relegation battle on Sunday.
