How does one of the world's best footballers and Barcelona star Lionel Messi stay in shape during the football season?
As reported bySport360, Messi's food diet was revealed in a Mundo Deportivo interview with his Italiannutritionist,Giuliano Poser. The Italian mentioned that the Argentine international's food diet consists of water, good quality olive oil, whole grains, fruit, and vegetables.
Giuliano Poser drastically changed Messi's diet since 2014 and it has proven to work, what with his recent outstanding performances on the pitch.
"Nuts and seeds are also great," Poser stated."It is better that he keeps away from sugars. It's the worst thing for the muscles.
Refined flours are also a big problem as these days, it's difficult to find uncontaminated wheat, the Italian said.
Poser also explained how some South Americans consume far too much meat and hetries to advisehis clients against this.
The amount of meat normally eaten by Argentinians and Uruguayans is too much, as it is difficult to digest.
My methods are not in doubt, everyone can see Leo week in, week out.
Messi has obviously consulted with one of the finest nutritionists out there, and the 29-year-old is now eating the same ingredients one might expect fromsouthern Italian culture - either way, the effects are obvious, with Messi looking in prime shape as he fast approaches his thirties.
