Liverpool are confident clinching a deal for Rosenborg youngster Olaus Jair Skarsem.
The Daily Express says Skarsem is widely regarded as one of Norway's hottest young prospects.
The 19-year-old midfielder currently plays for the Rosenborg second team and is considered one for the future.
Reports in Norway claim the Reds are aware of Skarsem's potential and have asked for regular updates on his progress.
And the Anfield club are said to be confident of reaching an agreement for the teenager due to their ties with Rosenborg.
The Norwegian side's sporting director is former Liverpool defender Stig Inge Bjornebye.
