Liverpool legend Molby reveals one club to avoid in Champions League

Liverpool legend Jan Molby believes his former club must avoid Bayern Munich in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp's men go into the second leg of their last-16 tie with Porto holding a 5-0 advantage and look certain to qualify for the quarter finals for the first time in nine years.

Bayern also won their first leg 5-0 against Besiktas, and Molby believes the Reds should be fearful of drawing the runaway Bundesliga leaders.

"Manchester City are the tournament favourites for a reason but I think as far as Liverpool are concerned we wouldn't mind them as the way they play suits us as they will always come and play. That will give us an opportunity," Molby wrote in the Liverpool Echo.

"In terms of the other favourites it looks like Real Madrid might be able to get past PSG though I'm not sure that game is over.

"Bayern Munich obviously got a draw that suited them and with Jupp Heynckes back in charge they're very strong. I do like Bayern Munich.

"Ribery and Robben may not be the players they were but I still think they've got a lot of ability. Thomas Muller is back among the goals.

"They are probably the one team in Europe I fear the most - I think they're an outstanding team.

"I was at Stamford Bridge to see Barcelona this week and I wasn't overly impressed by the Catalans.

"I know they've on a long unbeaten run in Champions League and La Liga but I'm not sure they're playing well enough - I'm not sure they're good enough any more."
