Liverpool midfielder Emre Can hailed teammate Sadio Mane as "world class" after their Champions League win against Hoffenheim.
Germany international Can scored twice in a game for the first time in his professional career as the Reds beat the Bundesliga outfit 4-2 at Anfield to seal a 6-3 triumph on aggregate in the Champions League play-off.
But the midfielder was quick to pay tribute to Mane, who tormented Hoffenheim's backline throughout before departing to a standing ovation late on.
“Sadio is a world class player," Can said.
“He has so many qualities. He's a very strong player, he's a very quick player, he's always scoring goals and creating chances for the team.
“He's also a really good guy. His performance against Hoffenheim was brilliant. I am very happy to have him as a team-mate.
“You could say he's made a big step forward during his time here."
