We lost Nathaniel Asamoah and Saddick Adams because of money - Kotoko interim coach Michael Osei

Interim Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Michael Osei has lamented about the team’s inability to buy him top players due to financial constraints.

During the transfer window, Kotoko was linked with their former player Nathaniel Asamoah who had returned to the country after a failed spell in Morocco and Berekum Chelsea’s in-form striker Saddick Adams but both deals fell through.

In an interview with Kumasi based FM station ASHH FM, Michael Osei poured out his disappointment. "I didn't get 100% of the players I wanted during the transfer window" "We lost Nathaniel Asamoah and Saddick Adams because of money" he said.

Despite the failed attempt to secure top players into the Kotoko camp, Michael Osei will seek to maintain his fine finish to the first round of the season which placed the Porcupine Warriors at third place on the league log.
