Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris says he is ready to give his best to help FC Porto in the Portuguese league as well as the UEFA Champions League.

Waris who joined Porto from Lorient over the weekend has started training and could make his debut this weekend in the Portuguese league.

The 27-year old says he is looking forward to making a positive impact at the club.

"They are fantastic players, they score almost always. I am also here to help you score more goals and win for the team. We could probably score a few more goals together.

"That is the most important thing: not who makes the mark but we do it together,” he added

Waris believes he can work well with his team mates to succeed. "I think I can go well with them, because they have an offensive mentality, which I also have. It's a matter of understanding and working together."

Majeed Waris has joined Porto on a 6 month loan deal with the option for the Portuguese side to buy.
