Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made Valencia winger Carlos Soler his number one transfer target for January.
The 20-year-old can operate on either wing as well in a central role.
His performances for Los Che, currently second in La Liga, have caught the eye of the Portuguese.
The Independent claims that Mourinho is still looking to fill a gap on the wing, which he failed to do in the summer after a deal for Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic fell through.
Valencia are said to be keen on holding onto Soler, but due to their financial worries in the recent times, it is understood that a bid of £40million might be enough to persuade them to sell.
Soler has made 12 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
