Man Utd whiz Pereira open to longer Valencia stay; welcomes Scholes comparison

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira says he's open to staying with Valencia beyond this season.

Pereira is on-loan at Valencia this campaign, but is not ruling sticking around for longer.

He told Superdeporte: "Sure, it's a very good option for me, it would be positive. I'm happy in Valencia CF."

Pereira also hasn't ruled out gatecrashing Brazil's World Cup squad.

He added: "I'm not thinking about that. It is very complicated, but in life nothing is impossible. I feel calm, I'm young. I do not want to rush things, I know that if it has to be I will go; If not, my work for the future will continue to be equally strong."

Former Valencia coach Phil Neville likened Pereira to his former United teammate Paul Scholes.

And Pereira responded: "That's a great pride, to hear those words is super nice (laughs). I loved Paul Scholes, he was my coach when I was young. For me, one of the best and I was lucky that he trained me ... really, I am very happy that he says that. Very happy. For me, Paul is a football great."
