Olympique Marseille chief Andoni Zubizarreta is in contact with Liverpool for Daniel Sturridge.
Sturridge has been put up for sale by Liverpool this month at a price of £30m.
Enquiries have arrived from Sevilla, Inter Milan and Newcastle United - but all three rivals wish to take the England international on an initial six month loan.
Canal+ says Zubizarreta is also keen, with OM being in the market for a striker signing over concerns about Kostas Mitroglou.
OM boast the spending power to tempt Liverpool into selling Sturridge - though deem their current asking price as too rich.
