Accra Great Olympics returned to winning ways after beating Champions WA All Stars 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the match Day 21 of the Ghana Premier League.

Midfielder Benjamin Arthur opened the scoring for the struggling Olympics in the 29th minute before striker Coffie Bekoe added the second 6 minutes into the second.

The wonder club, knowing what was at stake and going five games without a win controlled the game right from the bast of the whistle and it was no surprise they had the opener on the half hour mark.

A good interplay upfront saw Olympics win a freekick which was taken by Emmanuel Asante and his perfect cross with met by Benjamin Arthur who headed in for the home side.

The game went to the break with Olympics leading.

Tom Strand’s men came back into the second half with lots of energy, and second round signing Coffie Bekoe made it two with one of the best goals of the season on the 51st minute.

Kwame Boateng with a one-on-one situation with the visitors’ goalkeeper Richard Ofori should have made it two before recess but squandered the big opportunity.

Champions Wa All stars went in search of a consolation but Olympics were resolute in defence.

Olympics are still rooted on 15th position but the win enhances their chances of survival.
