MATCH REPORT: Ashantigold thump Ebusa Dwarfs

Published on: 04 June 2017

Richard Ocran scored a brace with Hans Kwofie scoring the other as Ashantigold thrash Ebusua Dwarfs 3-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Park.

The miners who had a torrid first half of the season looked to have connected the pieces together with their second win at home in the second round.

Coach C K Akunor’s side took the lead through Richard Ocran who converted from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute to hand the home side the lead before half time.

The miners who looked rejuvenated went in search of a second  but Dwarfs were resilient denying them from scoring.

However, former Medeama SC striker Hans Kwofie found the net with four minutes from time.

Richard Ocran sealed his brace with the last touch of the game to hand the miners all three points.

Ashantigold are 15th on the table with 16points with Dwarfs comfortably on 8th position with 23 points.

The miners will travel to play Medeama next as Dwarfs stay at home to engage Bechem United.
