MATCH REPORT: Dominant WAFA thrash Champions Wa All Stars

WAFA produced a dominant second half display to thrash premier League Champions Wa All Stars by 3-0 at the Red Bulls Arena in Sogakope.

Musah Nuhu rose high to connect from a corner before Mohammed Coulibaly scored his first goal of the season after three games.

Teenager Prince Owusu Ampem then completed the scoring with the third in a space of 60 seconds.

Champions Wa All Stars battled the Academy boys in the first half preventing WAFA from creating any decent chances, despite dominating possession.

The Academy boys were frustrated in the first 45 minutes, with the attackers unable to penetrate a resolute Wa All Stars defence.

However, a strong start by the Sogakope based club saw them score the first three minutes into the second half, when defender Musah Nuhu headed in from a corner kick.

Mohammed Coulibaly added the second after tapping in from close range. WAFA started a swift attack from defence with midfielder Gideon Waja bossing the middle. A through pass from the middle found Ampem who shot was parried by Wa All Stars goalkeeper and the ball fell to Coulibally who slotted in.

Prince Owusu Ampem sealed a dominant performance in the seond half with WAFA’s third after just 60 seconds of getting the second.

The Academy boys then played the rest of the game with so much verve and skill to the delight of the home fans.
