Accra Hearts of Oak missed the opportunity to go back to the top of the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Techiman City at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The game played in front of a sparse crowd ended 0-0 in the first half but Nigerian forward Cosmos Dauda gave the Phobians a 1-0 lead in the early moments of the first half when he converted from the penalty spot.
However, Techiman City's Vincent Adu grabbed the equalizer moments later when he fired home a long range shot.
The Phobians who were coming-off an embarrassing 3-0 loss at WAFA were desperate to get back to winning ways but they came unstuck against a resolute Techiman City defence in the first half.
The game ended on a sour note for Hearts when their goalscorer Cosmos Dauda was substituted by Patrick Razak when he suffered a hamstring injury.
The result left Hearts in third place with 40 points while Techiman City are in 11th place.
