Accra Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways after beating Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the match day 28 of the Ghana Premier League.

The FA Cup finalist shot in the lead just 16 minutes in the game after midfielder Winful Cobinna whipped in a brilliant free kick.

Joshua Otoo doubled their lead for the Phobians before Joseph Esso halved the deficit for the Cape Coast based side.

Accra Hearts of Oak began the game on a good note, controlling and dominating possession.

The Phobians could have taken the lead in the early minutes of the game but flapped a couple of opportunities.

But midfield Kingpin Winful Cobinna made sure one of those chances found the net after converting a brilliant free kick in the 16th minute.

The goal propelled the Accra based side to create more and more chance and it was goal scorer Winful turned assist maker by putting through defender Joshua Otoo who slotted in from close range.

However, with the Phobians looking to take the two zero lead into the break, Joseph Esso came from nowhere to pull one back for the crabs.

The second half was more of hard battle between the two sides with either sides unable to create scoring opportunities.

The Phobians held on to win their first game after a run of two matches without a win.
