Accra Hearts of Oak continued their impressive form in the ongoing Ghana Premier League with a win over Ashanti Gold at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Saturday.
A second half stunner from Paul Acquah was all the Phobians needed to clinch all three points.
In the 59th minute referee Yaw Ametepey whistled for a penalty after Hearts skipper Thomas Abbey's cross struck the arm of an Ashgold player.
But the referee Ametepey changed his decision after consulting his assistant line 1 Alhassan Yahaya.
Ashgold push for the equaliser but Hearts goalie Akurugu was big to the task as he kept the scoreline 1-0 till the end.
The win gives Hearts coach Frank Nuttall back to back wins after beating Bechem United 4-2 in midweek at the Accra Stadium.
