MATCH REPORT: Kotoko move to fifth with 3-0 Dwarfs victory

Dauda Mohammed scored twice as Kumasi Asante Kotoko trounced Ebusua Dwarfs 3-0 in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors buoyed by last Monday's win over rivals Hearts of Oak swatted aside a new look Dwarfs who missed a penalty in the dying embers at the Baba Yara stadium.

Mohammed's brace was separated by a goal from winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi's and sent Kotoko to fifth place on the table and to within four points of leaders Hearts.

Kotoko dominated the early exchanges but had to wait till the 29th minute to breach the Dwarfs defence.

Dauda Mohammed exchanged passes with Elvis Nyarko before firing home to give Kotoko the lead.

Sarfo Gyamfi made it 2-0 as half time loomed when he capitalised on a defensive mix-up to nutmeg Dwarfs goalkeeper, Andoh.

Dwarfs had a chance to reduce the deficit in the 73rd minute but new signing Gilbert Fiamenyo saw his effort saved by Ernest Sowah.

Eight minutes later, Kotoko defender, Ahmed Adams turned supplier as Dauda Mohammed controlled his pass before shooting Kotoko into a 3-0 lead.

The win sees Kotoko win back-to back games in the Ghana premier league for the first time this season.
