Kumasi Asante Kotoko were held to a 1-1 at home by Accra Great Olympics at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The away side opened the scoring through David Agordome two minutes in to the second half before new signing Saddick Adams pulled parity for the Porcupine with 15 minutes to end the game.

Meanwhile goalkeeper Ernest Sowah was shown a red card leaving Kotoko to play with ten men thirteen minutes from time.

Great Olympics who had recorded a 2-0 victory over the Kumasi based Club in the first round were solid in the first half preventing a rejuvenated Asante Kotoko from scoring.

However, Olympics had a different approach in the second half, attacking from the first minute of that half and just after two minutes later David Agordome scored the important goal for the visitors.

The wonder club played cautiously trying to preserve their lead but Kumasi Asante Kotoko boosted by former Ghana youth star Saddick Adams in attack created chnces after chances but failed to score.

With the game looking liking going in the way of the Olympics, Kotoko were awarded a penalty and Saddick Adams expertly converted to draw level for the former Ghana Champions.

The game didn’t ended the way the porcupine warriors wanted as goalkeeper Ernest Sowah was red carded for fouling an Olympics player.

The result leaves Kotoko on fifth position with 25 points as Great Olmpics drop to 12th position with 19 points.

Kotoko will next travel to Dormaa to play Aduana Stars with Accra Great Olympics at home to Liberty Professional in the Accra derby.
