MATCH REPORT - Techiman City 1 Kotoko 1: Amos Frimpong cancels out Stephen Manu's penalty

Kumasi Asante Kotoko slipped to third place beneath bitter rivals Kotoko when they were held 1-1 on Sunday by Techiman City on Sunday.

Techiman City drew first blood from the penalty spot in the 26th minute after former Kotoko forward Stephen Manu was felled.

Manu dusted himself off and fired the penalty past Ernest Sowah to send the home fans into delirium. That goal was the difference between the two teams at the break.

Kotoko returned the much better side from recess and got the equaliser when skipper Amos Frimpong headed home from a corner kick in the 55th minute.

Yussif Hussein and Theophilus Nyame of Techiman City and Kotoko respectively were rushed to the hospital after a collision of heads.

The result leaves the Porcupine Warriors in third place with 27 points while Techiman City are 10th with 20 points.
