Ghanaian Champions Wa All Stars suffered a 3-1 loss to Al Ahli of Tripoli in their CAF Champions League qualifier at the Tamale Sports Sports Stadium.

Coach Enos Adepah's side were forced to play the game away from their favourite Wa Park venue.

Mohammed Ali gave Tripoli the lead with a sublime strike in the 20th minute, to hand the Libyans a slender advantage at the break.

Al Ahli Tripoli returved rejuvenated after the break and Sufyan Kareem capitalised on their dominance to score the second goal of the game to pull his side two goals up in Tamale.

The goal stung Wa All Stars into life and they scored a consolation through goal poacher Richard Arthur.

However, all hopes of a fight back were dashed when the Libyans scored a third goal to kill-off the tie.
