The management and technical team of Medeama yesterday held a crunch meeting towards making a positive impact in their next group match against Young Africans of Tanzania in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.

The meeting, according to the Technical Director of Medeama, Evans Adotey, was to decide on the club’s early departure to Tanzania with the view to acclimatising and mapping out a strategy that could revive their campaign.

He said the meeting also discussed how to motivate the playing body and the technical team to play above themselves in order to subdue Young Africans in their own backyard.

“We need the maximum points from Young Africans in this match. This is because the expectations from our fans are so high, and we cannot afford to disappoint them,” he told the Daily Graphic in an interview.

According to him, the contingent, which includes players, technical team and officials, were also part of the meeting.

He made a passionate appeal to their fans to offer them the needed support to enable them to deliver.

“We have prepared very well to enable us to subdue our opponents but we need the spiritual and physical support of our fans to enable us to overpower our opponents,” he appealed.
