Medeama SC could claim second spot with Mazembe win after Bejaia dropped points in Tanzania

Medeama SC could jump to second place in Group A of the CAF Confederation Cup should they win against TP Mazembe.

The Tarkwa based side are at home at the Essipong Stadium to already qualified TP Mazembe in a must win game on Sunday.

Coach Prince and his team know the only way to enhance their chances of making it to the semi finals of the competition is to clinch all three points.

However, Young Africans of Tanzania defeated Algerian side MO Bejaia 1-0 on Saturday.

So what this means is that, a win for Medeama today will throw Yanga out of the race because the Ghanaians will post eight points that cannot be reached by Hans Van der Pluijm side.
