Medeama Sporting Club have denied reports linking them to former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Coach David Duncan.

The Club is without a coach following the departure of Evans Adotey, who left to concentrate on only national team duties.

Several Coaches are reported to be interested in the vacant job but one name that has got everybody talking is Coach David Duncan.

However, Spokesperson of Medeama SC, Patrick Akoto has moved quickly to deny such reports insisting there has been no official approach by the club to appoint Duncan as the new Coach.

"We have not held any official discussion with Coach David Duncan. We are also hearing the news in the media," Akoto told Accra-based Oman FM

"I can't say if any official of the club has spoken to him. That will not be the official position of the club.

"We are in the market looking for a new coach and so naturally these reports will always come up.

"Admittedly we have received several applications from many coaches and they are all under consideration."

Coach David Duncan left Kotoko in controversial circumstances after struggling with the Kumasi based side in his time at the club during the 2015/16 season.

The former Ashantigold and Accra Hearts of Oak Coach has not been with a club since leaving the Porcupine Warriors.
