Medeama SC on Tuesday boosted their chances of making the semi finals of this year's CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Young Africans of Tanzania at the Essipong Stadium.

The Ghanaian side won 3-1, their first win in the group stage of the competition.

A fantastic brace from striker Abass Mohammed and a goal from Daniel Amoah helped the Yellow and Muaves to clinch all three points.

The win sees Medeama still occupy the third position with the same points, five, as second placed MO Bejaia who have a game in hand against table toppers TP Mazembe.

Medeama will play TP Mazembe at home and travel away to face MO Bejaia in Algeria in their last two fixtures.
