Medeama SC have lauded the Ghana Football Association’s decision to shift all premier league matches from Sunday to Saturday. The Premier League Board and the FA in their attempt to help Medeama qualify for the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup have asked all clubs to honour their week 24 matches on Saturday.

Medeama will play Congolese side TP Mazembe in a must win game at the Essipong stadium on Sunday.

“We are grateful to the Ghana Football Association and the premier league board for this decision, we believe it will go a long way to help us,” said Patrick Akoto, deputy communications director of the club

“ We are hopeful we can get the required support at the venue and as the people of Essipong have always been doing I know they will troop to the stadium in their numbers.”
