Medeama SC have failed to reach the semi finals of the CAF Confederations Cup after losing 1-0 to MO Bejaia on Tuesday afternoon.

Bejaia go through on the head to head rule despite amassing the same points as the Tarkwa based side.

Bejaia striker Betonrangail put the home team in front in the 52nd minute after his long drive went past goalkeeper Daniel Agyei.

The Algerian side after the goal pressed so hard for the second but Paul Aidoo and Victor Ayirrey combined well in defence to deny them.

Medeama failed to capitalize on the few chances created and most of their moves were flagged offside.

The clearest opportunity for Medeama came in the 47 minute when Atta Agyei latched on a defensive blunder but Bejaia goalkeeper was big to it as he saved his side.

MO Bejaia finished second in Group A and qualify with DR Congo side TP Mazembe to the semi finals of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
