Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen can see the club making a new move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
United should try and get Bale in return if David De Gea joins Real Madrid, says the Dutchman.
"As a manager you have to find out where he wants to go, is he going?" he said on talkSPORT.
"What is the best scenario for us? What do we want to get out of it?
"Especially for De Gea, the speculation has been there now for three years.
"Manchester United and Jose Mourinho must try to make sure that if that is the case, what is the best outcome for Manchester United?
"For instance, they say 'OK you get De Gea, what do we want? You give us Bale'.
"There has to be something where Manchester United come out of it even better."
