There were ever so slightly bizarre scenes on British daytime television on Wednesday when the cast of the new movie "A Wrinkle In Time" dropped in for a chat with Lorraine Kelly.
Surprisingly for a couch that seated Hollywood stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling, the subject of conversation turned to Swansea City.
As it transpires, Kaling is a shareholder in the Premier League club and was even hoping to take in a match at the Liberty Stadium during her visit to the U.K..
1. We had ACTUAL @Oprah, @RWitherspoon and @mindykaling on the sofa this morning.
2. Mindy owns shares in @SwansOfficial (who knew?!)
3. We think we might have found them a new investor... and she's kind of a big deal! pic.twitter.com/prbe8dIsEf
"It's true. Football is such an amazing sport," Kaling told host Lorraine Kelly.
"I believe in this team [Swansea] and I think it's a smart choice. I don't think it's going anywhere. I could have picked something a bit closer to my home. But I think it's an adventure."
Kaling's effusive support was even enough to win over Oprah, who proudly declared that she now also "believes" in Carlos Carvalhal's side.
Now there's something you probably didn't expect to hear today!
