Mohammed Polo reckons Black Stars AFCON trophy drought is spiritual

Ghana football legend Mohammed Polo says the Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations trophy drought is spiritual.

Ghana has gone 35 years without  winning the Africa Cup of Nations after winning it in 1982.

The love for the team is not as it used to be as many football loving Ghanaians in recent times show apathy towards the team.

Mohammed Polo who was well known as the dribbling magician during his playing days believes the happenings are spiritual.

''I have said it before that there is some sort of spiritual connotation to the Black Stars challenges. As you remember, our infamous World Cup fiasco in Brazil – the money issues and the disciplinary challenges that faced the team – is not normal though it is becoming the norm of the day,'' the dribbling magician told Accra based Class FM.
