More Man Utd injury worries as Pogba goes down

Published on: 24 April 2017

Paul Pogba sustained a hamstring injury late in Manchester United's win over Burnley on Sunday.

The French midfielder fell to the ground clutching his leg and was tended to by trainers before being replaced by Michael Carrick in the 90th minute of the 2-0 win.

With the crunch Manchester derby against Man City approaching quickly on Thursday, the Pogba problem comes at a very bad time for Jose Morinho.

The Portuguese lost star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and key defender Marcos Rojo to knee injuries in Thursday night's win over Anderlecht and will have his fingers crossed that Pogba is available for the trip to the Etihad as United chase a top-four finish.

The Red Devils find themselves just a point behind Pep Guardiola's City with six league fixtures remaining, plus the Europa League semi-finals against Celta Vigo, and will need as many fit players as possible if they want to finish the campaign successfully.
