MTN FA Cup trophy and Mascot arrive in Tamale ahead of final

The MTN FA Cup trophy and Mascot arrived in Tamale on Tuesday ahead of the October 29th showdown between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The trophy and the mascot first toured the cities of the two finalist, Hearts in Accra and Kotoko in Kumasi before arriving in Tamale to a rapturous welcome.

Many football fans and the locals in the Northern Regional capital met the Mascot called “Obia Nye Obia” and the trophy at the airport.

On arrival to meet the trophy and the mascot was Northern Region Football Association Abdulai Abubakar who led the delegation to the office of the Northern Regional Minister Hon. Salifu Saeed.

The minister was happy to receive the trophy and asked for more events of such nature are held in Tamale.

Ghanaian musician based in Tamale Fancy Gadam has been billed to perform on the day.
