NorthEast United lodge protest against Avram Grant dismissal, call for probe into refereeing decisions

NorthEast United have lodged complaints to the AIFF to conduct a comprehensive feedback process to evaluate the performance of the officials after sending of Avram Grant.

The former Black Stars trainer was sent to the stands in mysterious circumstances following an altercation between both sets of players.

NorthEast United have endured a torrid season with just 11 points from 16 games, the Highlanders are placed second from bottom and have failed to qualify for the playoffs for a fourth straight campaign.

It seems the club's patience has finally run out following a campaign that has seen much upheaval and they have issued the following statement protesting their manager's dismissal at the weekend and questioning the standards of refereeing in the league this season.
