NWL Week 4 Review: Police Ladies Pip Immigration Ladies 1-0 As Fabulous Ladies Rout Ampem Darkoa 4-0

Published on: 09 May 2016

Police Ladies on Sunday afternoon beat Immigration Ladies by a lone goal, thanks to a 6th-minute strike by Catherine Mensah in their match week 4 fixture played at the Nicholson Park inside Burma Camp.

The determined Police Ladies gave an indication of their intentions earlier on in the game winning two corner kicks within three minutes.

Immigration Ladies responded with a couple of attacks, but it was the early persistence of the Police Ladies that eventually paid off as Catherine Mensah received a through pass on the right side of attack from Mary Baidoo.

She raced into the goal area of Immigration Ladies and coolly planted the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper Rosemary Acheampong.

That goal turned out to be the match-winner, despite some great individual play from Immigration Ladies striker Christiana Baiden and her colleagues.

In other matches, Fabulous Ladies thrashed Ampem Darkoa Ladies by 4-0 as Soccer Intellectuals beat defending champions Hasaacas Ladies 2-0.

Northern Ladies won 1-3 away to Lepo Ladies with Real Upper Ladies beating Subayo Ladies 4-1.
