A Member of Black Stars Management Committee, Joseph Yaw Appiah, has revealed resolving the misunderstanding between GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi and his Vice George Afriyie.

According to the respected football administrator, it was not difficult settling the mix-up between the two football leaders.

The beginning of the impasse was Afriyie’s acceptance of the Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuije’s call for locally-based players to be used for the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda without discussing with Nyantakyi.

Speaking Accra based Starr FM, Mr. Appiah said, “They were united, it was just one or two misunderstanding which took us less than five minutes to resolve. We have been friends and a family for quite a long time.

"Naturally, even the teeth and tongue they fight it was just a small thing [and] we have been able to rectify it.” He added.
