The Board of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed receiving Opoko Nti’s reply to stay on to supervise the team’s day-to-day administration for the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
The General manager of Kotoko, Opoku Nti whose contract with the club ended on June 30, 2016, was earlier asked by the club’s Board to stay on to oversee the activities of the club till the end of the 2015/2016 season.
Opoku Nti will however not be able to sign on any new player should he agree to stay on with the Porcupines till the end of the season as directed by the board.
In an interview with Happy fm, Board Secretary, Ishmael Boachie confirmed that the board has received Opoku Nti’s responds indicating that he is set to stay on to supervise the team’s activities for the second round of the league.
Kotoko under the tutelage of General manager Opoku Nti, have claimed four titles, Ghana Premier League trophy, MTN FA Cup, GHALCA Top six and the President’s Cup trophy.
The Porcupine warriors currently occupy the 2nd spot, one point adrift leaders Wa All-stars after 17 matches.
