Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan made dream debut for his new club Al Ahli when he came off the bench to score in a 5-1 thrashing of his former club Al Ain on Wednesday evening.
The Arabian Gulf Cup match was Gyan's first taste of football since he reportedly failed a medical at English Championship side Reading FC.
The 30-year-old proved his doubters wrong for the umpteenth time in his career when he climbed-off the substitutes bench to score Ahli's fourth goal.
True to his promise ahead of the match, Gyan did not celebrate after scoring against his former team.
Fans of Al Ain also showed appreciation for his humility by chanting his name afterwards.
