Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien who plays for Indonesian side Persib Bandung believes the arrival of new Coach Mario Gomez who has a positive impact on the club.
Persib who finished last season on 13th position have brought in the Argentine, to change the fortunes of the club.
Essen who had a fantastic first season was hopeful of the season ahead under new Coach Mario Gomez.
“I just learned Persib bring in an Argentine coach (Mario Gomez)." said the former penggawa AC Milan and Chelsea is quoted by Bobotoh.id
"Hopefully, he can bring Persib into a better team," he said.
Essien joined the Indonesians from Greek giants Olympiakos after several years in Europe.
Having spent nine year at Chelsea where he became a house hold name in Europe, the Ghanaians move to Asia was regarded as a big step in the development of football in the country.
Other big names like Carton Cole, Peter Odemwingie and many more joined the former Lyon midfielder in Indonesia.
