Former Dreams FC goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy marked his debut for Israeli side Hapoel Afula FC with a remarkable performance earning him Man of the match award.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper, who joined the Israeli side this season, got off to a good start in the Liga Leumit following his heroic show in his side’s 2-0 win over Ironi Nesher on Monday.
The ex-Hearts of Oak goalkeeper was impressive for Dreams FC last season in the Ghana Premier League and was honoured with a move to join former Hearts of Oak coach Eyal Lachman in Israel.
