PREVIEW: Dreams FC desperate to complete double over Ashgold
Dreams FC

Dreams FC will be eyeing all the maximum points on Saturday when they welcome defending League Champions Ashgold to the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu in the Ghana Premier League Week 24.

The 'Still Believe' lads undeservedly lost 1-0 to Kumasi Asante Kotoko after Referee Anafo awarded the Porcupine Warriors a late penalty last Sunday. The GPL debutants will be hoping to return to winning ways as they make giants steps towards greatest in the back end of the season.

The game promises lots of action with Dreams FC slightly on top though the return of Ashgold gaffer Bashir Hayford can also add something to the game for the miners.

Dreams FC won the reverse encounter one nil through a superb Emmanuel Hayford 44th minute free kick and are expected to win the return encounter at their own backyard.

The main centre of attention will be in the middle where Emmanuel Eli Keke, Hayford and Prosper Donkor will battle the likes of Eric Opoku and Alhassan Nuhu and Fuseini Nuhu

Also, towering defender Abeiku Ainooson will be expected to put the brakes on in form Emmanuel Osei Baffour who has been clinical in the last couple of games for the Miners.

Dreams FC are currently 5th on the league log with 35 points whilst Ashgold are also 11th with 29 points. A win for Dreams FC could see the club moving back into the top four.

One player who could also decide the outcome of this game is Striker Michael Sarpong who has scored thrice in his last three home games for Dreams FC.

On the other hand, both Philemon McCarthy and Fatau Dauda can also determine who wins the game as they have been very vital for their respective clubs so far in the second round.

Dreams FC are poised to beat the defending champions for the second time this season in a campaign which has produced some moments of brilliance thus far.

Manager C. K Akonnor and his charges are unbeaten at home since the commencement of the second round of the league.
