PSG Emerge as Favourites to Sign Madrid Star After Reportedly Meeting With Player's Representatives

Real Madrid outcast Isco is reportedly a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with the player's representatives apparently already holding early talks with the reigning French champions.

According to L'Equipe, PSG coach Unai Emery is keen to bolster his squad ahead of next season by adding a greater depth of quality. The Spanish coach is obviously familiar with the La Liga market and is said to be attracted by Isco's versatility.

The 24-year-old, who has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus and even Barcelona at various points over the last year or so, is due to be out of contract at the end of next season. It means there is potential for a deal to be struck.

The suggestion from L'Equipe is that Los Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane is unlikely to stand in the way of Isco departing as the player is no longer a regular in his plans.

Such is the fierce competition for midfield and attacking places at the Bernabeu, Isco has been unable to nail a consistent starting place and has often been in and out of the team. That's despite a flurry of goals and assists since the turn of the calendar year.

The French publication also notes that Isco's potential arrival in Paris could coincide with the permanent departure of Jese Rodriguez. The winger signed from Real last summer but is currently on loan at Las Palmas back in La Liga after struggling to make an impact.
