Redknapp warns Howe over considering Arsenal job

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has warned Eddie Howe over considering the Arsenal job.

Redknapp believes Bournemouth manager Howe should — and will — resist the lure of other jobs at 'big' clubs for a few years yet.

Redknapp told The Sun: “He's a quiet man. London would be a culture shock to him.

“I don't think now is the time for Eddie, if that job came up.

“It's very different managing Bournemouth to managing Arsenal. Different wages, different egos, different characters.

“He's got a group of lads there that appreciate playing Premier League football, absolutely can't believe what's happening to them.

“I am sure he is ambitious. But Eddie is still only young. He hasn't got to dive in and try to take a big club at the moment.

“What do you want out of your life? He's managing a Premier League club, a team of really good players.

“He was born here, lives here. Eddie's life is fantastic. His kids go to a lovely school. His wife is from Bournemouth, he's from Bournemouth, it's a great place to live. I'd be surprised if Eddie didn't stick around here for a good few years to come before eventually making a move."
