Ligue 1 side, OGC Nice are reportedly keen on signing Aston Villa star Jordan Ayew on loan.

According to reports from L’Equipe (via Top Mercato), French Ligue 1 outfit Nice are interested in securing the services of Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew.

Villa endured a torrid campaign last season in the Premier League but perhaps one of the few positives for them were the performances of Jordan Ayew.

He arrived at Villa Park from Lorient for a fee of around £8 million and the Ghanaian international was one of the few Villa players who deserved any sort of credit for their displays last season.

Following Villa’s relegation into the Championship, Ayew has widely been touted to leave the Midlands based outfit this summer and a host of clubs are said to be keen on securing the services of the 24-year-old.

The likes of Hamburg, West Ham United, Bordeaux and Galatasaray (Daily Mail) have all been mentioned as the interested parties in Ayew and now according to reports from L’Equipe, even Nice have joined in the race for the striker.

Claims have been made that Nice are planning to sign Ayew on a season long loan deal and are hopeful that Villa will accept such a proposal as the club is not keen on losing the attacker permanently this season.
