The vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has confirmed that the Ghana Football Association has been left with only three sponsors following the work of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Presidential Commission. According to Mr Afriyie, only three sponsors namely; Puma, GNPC and uniBank are left accusing the Commission of hounding away the sponsors most of whom declined to renew their contracts after they expired after the FIFA World Cup>

"We don't have many sponsors it's left with two or three," Afriyie said on Asempa FM.

"It's left with GNPC, uniBank and Puma, who told you we have Guinness on board? Their contract expired two years ago.

The GFA in the past had numerous sponsors most of whom financed and supported the activities of the senior national team, the Black Stars.

Their sponsors included; vehicle buying website. cheki.com. Latex Foam, Huawei and Rice Master.

The GFA recently lost the sponsorship of the Division One League by GN Bank as well as the deal for the Ghana Premier League with Capital Bank last year.
