Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori was named Man of the Match in Maritzburg United's 0-0 draw with SuperSports United in the Premier Soccer League in South Africa.

The Ghanaian goalkeeper produced another outstanding performance to record his tenth clean sheet of the season, as Maritzburg move to third place on the table.

Maritzburg United put up a committed performance to earn a point from a 0-0 draw against SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Attridgeville on Saturday evening.

The home side had the lion’s share of the chances although Maritzburg did have one or two moments where they came close and were unlucky to hit the bar through Mohau Mokate.

On the whole, it was took some determined defending, and some superb goalkeeping by Richard Ofori to earn the Team of Choice a share of the spoils.

The Tshwane team had a chance 10 minutes after the break when Letsholonyane teed up Aubrey Modiba, but his shot was dealt with by the impressive Ofori.

Maritzburg had an opportunity when Mokate's shot, following a bit of magic from Fortune Makaringe, was saved by Ronwen Williams, before Modiba again brought out a save from Ofori with a well-struck curler from the edge of the box on the hour mark.

Man-of-the-Match Ofori pulled off another brilliant, point-blank save, when the Ghana international denied Mokoena in the 73rd minute.

With SuperSport looking for the winner, Maritzburg threw bodies on the line to make sure they went home with a point for their efforts.
