Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is unconvinced by their interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
At €200m and a threat to his own centre-forward status at Real, Ronaldo has told president Florentino Perez he should look elsewhere to boost their attack.
Don Balon says Ronaldo is supportive of Real's interest in Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi. The Argentine, argues Ronaldo, is of similar ability to Kane, but would cost much less.
Icardi was all ready to join Real in January and had even undergone a preliminary medical, only for the deal to be vetoed by coach Zinedine Zidane. Zidane preferred to stick with Karim Benzema for the remainder of this season, but is now coming around to recognising a new striker signing is needed.
And if Ronaldo has his way, it will be Icardi Real choose ahead of Spurs star Kane.
